As Marketing Director/Brand Design Director, John led the process of transforming this organization from a House of Brands to a Branded House. John also served as creative/art director, video producer, graphic designer, photographer, copywriter, and event planner within this role. Deliverables included:

THE TEAM
John began as a one-person Marketing Department working closely with in-house ad agency, Alt Studios. The department grew to include a Marketing Content Specialist. John also managed freelance Video Director/Editor, Director of Photography/Cinematography, and Voiceover Actor. John collaborated closely with the CEO/Executive Team, Engineering, Installers, and Sales.
CONCEPT TO COMPLETION
Branding
John completed the entire business suite of marketing materials for SGH Concepts, truly from concept to completion. Not only did John design the deliverables using Adobe Creative Suite, but he also gathered and created all the content where needed. From copy to photography, John was the one-person creative team that brought the marketing ideas to life.
DIGITAL CAMPAIGN
Brand Video
Over four weeks across seven cities & states, a team of three wrote, recorded, and edited the SGH Concepts brand video to communicate to their expanding market who they are and what they do. John was the co-writer and producer of this production.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Architecture
To properly document completed SGH Concepts projects, John learned to become an architecture photographer utilizing a 17mm and 24mm tilt-shit lens. John has photographed interior and exterior architecture projects across the United States.

As the House of Brands became a Branded House, it became clear that the company needed a new website to communicate better the products & services SGH Concepts provides to its clients. John led this project's design, user experience, and user interface design as creative director with agency Alt Studios of Des Moines, IA.

SGH Concepts exists to sell products to general contractors. As a quality product provider of architectural solutions for daylighting and façades, the surefire way to secure their product on a budget-conscious build is to have architects spec the products in architectural drawings. To sell specifically to architects, John learned how to become an architectural photographer, capturing images of completed builds in a manner that was most attractive to the client. He is a 100% self-taught architecture photographer, and John Gawley took all these images.
